TENAA Approves Gionee M6; Unveiling on July 26
Gionee M6 today received TENAA approval bearing a model number GN8003. With this the road to unveiling is further paved at an event scheduled to be held on July 26 in home country China. Stay tuned.
Listing on the Chinese certification agency however reveals several unannounced features ahead of the official unveiling. It is learned the phone to sport a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen offering a resolution of 1920 x 1080p and is to be powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 652 chipset.
TENAA listing further reveals Gionee M6 to come out of the box with the newest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and a massive, marathon 5,000 mAh battery. It is to offer onboard storage of 32GB and RAM of 4GB.
As Gionee is also known for offering powerful cameras, the M6 is learned to be mounted with a 13MP primary snapper equipped with LED flash and an 8MP front camera without any flash light, but believed to be snapping good selfies.
The Gionee M6 is a dual SIM smartphone equipped with connectivity features of 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and USB. It weighs around 185 grams and measures 152.3 x 75.3 x 8.4 mm. It comes with a fingerprint sensor too. In terms of design the Chinese mobile manufacturer has not changed much but the new device of course carries the new logo of Gionee on its back, just below the 13MP snapper.
No concrete release date has yet been revealed. Let’s hope the July 26 event has answers to all the related questions of M6. Meanwhile, it is also being rumored Gionee may unveil M6 Plus too on the day. As of now nothing is known about the second sibling.
