LG L5000 (F590) hits South Korean Market with 5.9″ HD Display with In-House Chipset
Only last week, LG launched its supreme K7 LTE and K100 LTE smartphones in India seeking all the attention back again to its smartphone business. Furthermore, recently they have announced the masterpiece flagship product LG G5 which is yet to be made available in most part of the world. Now they have gone further to come up with some mid-range devices to cater people of all need and budget.
LG stylus 2 which is an improved version of LG G4 stylus hit the South Korean market last month with a 5.7 inch display screen. Now LG has launched a brand new smartphone LG L5000 (F590) exclusive for its home country. It has a whole new design and there has been a positional shift in volume rockers from the back side of the phone to the side edges along with circular power buttons which makes it a unique feature. Other than that some changes are made here and there but experts say it carries a look that has similarities with LG G3 which was launched back in 2014.
It sports a whopping 5.9 inch HD display which carries a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Experts say LG has to work on this front to increase its resolution in order to compete with the contemporaries. But the most attention seeking feature of the smartphone is that it is powered by home-grown Nuclun LG GH14 octa-core processor clocking at 1.5 Ghz. This is LG’s first device where in-house processor is used whereas other competitors prefer using third party processors. Besides that, it will feature 2 GB of RAM.
There are some rumors that LG is investing a lot in processor and chipset business and we can see LG to be an emerging company in this front. Moving on to more specifications about the device, it has a convenient 32 GB internal storage space which can be further expanded using micro SD card slot provided. It has Android 5.1 Lollipop version with customized UX UI to satisfy its own specifications. There is no information whether it could be upgraded to Android M or not.
Rear camera is 13 MP with laser autofocus OIS+ and LED flash light. But it has a mere 2.1 MP front selfie camera which could be its drawback. It is backed up by a 3000 mAh battery with 22 hours talk-time and 385 hours standby time. It weighs around 180 grams and has a 1W amplifying speak for rocking sound. In addition, it has a built-in DMB-TV tuner that helps in proving live TV streaming.
Currently, there is no official news as to when this device, which some people are referring as phablet instead of smartphone, will be available beyond its home country;neither there is any news about its price tag. We have to stay hooked for that.
