HTC kills the Rumor, says only 32 GB model of HTC 10 (One M10) will be sold in US
It was in the air for a long time now that HTC 10 might sport a whopping 64 GB memory in US market, but the rumors had been thrashed yesterday by Senior Global Communication Manager at HTC – Mr. Jeff Gordon. According to his latest tweet, HTC 10 will hit the US market with its 32 GB variant even though other specific locations other US will get 64 GB version of HTC 10. No explanation has been provided as to why US market will be deprived on 64GB in-built internal storage.
HTC 10 can be pore-ordered in the US and it will come in glacier silver and carbon grey model. Further out of that 32 GB internal space, in actuality 23 GB will be available to users. It is anticipated that the new smartphone will start shipping in early May with a price tag of $699.99.
Let’s now focus on its specifications and why there is such a craze in the market regarding HTC 10. It will run on Android 6.0 with 8.0 UI sense and includes handful of unique features to stand out over the crowd. It will provide OISwith both the cameras and its screen size is 5.2 inches with quad HD LCD display. It will have the powerful Snapdragon 820 processor and 4 GB RAM. Additionally, it will sport non-stereo Boom sound speaks and fingerprint sensor. 12 MP rear camera with 5 MP selfie camera and a 3000 mAh battery make it a powerful smartphone.
Important thing to note and explained by Jeff Gordon that HTC will have external memory space which can be extended to 2 TB. This is good news for many but potential buyers in US look a bit off-mood with the news coming out and no possible reason has been given behind such a move. It has been surveyed that most users prefer in-built storage space than buying external microSD cards and the primary reason for that is the speed and cost issue. Furthermore, it has been revealed that HTC 10 is not water-proof like its competitive model Samsung S7 which also goes against it.
Several vendors like Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile will be launched it across their stores in US. Here is the original tweet by Jeff Gordon – @urbanstrata
“he US is getting HTC 10 in 32GB (with expandable Flex Storage) in Carbon Gray or Glacier Silver (with black front).”
It would be quite interesting to see the battle between Samsung S7 and HTC 10 who seems to be struggling with several limitations. HTC 10 has completely left out Indian market which is the potential emerging market for smartphone sell in entire world. The word from HTC regarding this is that they are considering the option to launch HTC 10 lifestyle model in India which has slower processor and 3GB of RAM instead of 4 GB. With an IP certification score of 53, HTC is clearly losing to Samsung S7 but only sales figure can decide the success story of HTC 10. Keep following us for more info.
